Golf Coach
My name is Hugo Moebel, and I’m the founder and Head Golf Instructor of Next Tee Lubbock.
Growing up, I was fortunate to receive instruction from PGA professionals and to compete in collegiate golf with both the Texas A&M and Texas Tech Club Golf teams. Through those experiences, I realized how many children never get the chance to play golf because of the cost of equipment and lessons.
That’s why I started Next Tee. Our mission is to make golf more accessible for kids (and adults) in the Lubbock area by providing a fun, encouraging, and affordable environment where they can learn the game. Whether your child is picking up a golf club for the first time or already has some experience, our goal is to help them build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and enjoy the process of improving.
My name is Beck Timmons, and I’m a coach with Next Tee Lubbock. I’ve been playing golf for 20 years, including 11 years of competitive experience through the NTPGA, TGJA, and Texas 5A golf, and I currently play to a 1–2 handicap.
For the past seven years, I’ve also worked in student ministry, which has grown my passion for mentoring and encouraging young people. I especially enjoy helping junior golfers build their skills, confidence, and, most importantly, their love for the game.
When I’m not on the course, I love spending time with my wife and our almost two-year-old daughter, Hattie. Fun fact: I made my first and only hole-in-one when I was just 8 years old!
My name is Mason Einspahr, and I’m a coach with Next Tee Lubbock.
I’m a scratch golfer with experience competing on the Texas Tech Club Golf Team, in four golf tournaments, and I’ve also personally helped several different golfers improve their swings and become more confident in their game.
Outside of golf, I’m a finance major and volunteer at Redeemer Church working with 4th and 5th graders. I really enjoy teaching kids because I love seeing the excitement and joy they have while playing sports and learning something new.
One of my favorite parts of coaching is helping young golfers improve while still making the game fun. Fun fact: my best round is a 67!
My name is Sean Mendez, and I'm a coach with Next Tee Lubbock.
I’m a 2-handicap golfer with 10+ years of competitive golf experience, including playing for the Smithson Valley High School golf team and the Texas Tech Club Golf Team. I’ve spent the past two summers coaching golfers of all ages, and one of my favorite success stories is helping a student improve from shooting 110+ to the high 80s.
I’m currently a Finance major in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. I love helping junior golfers grow their skills and confidence while making lessons fun, engaging, and memorable. Fun fact: in high school at Regionals, I holed out from 143 yards to help our team win by one stroke!
